eastcoast 4 pill base amp.

got my new eastcoast 4 pill base amp today. that thing is sweet. built like a tank. that dude mudduck do some top notch work. anybody got one of thse amps ??? its got a power switch then a 4 pill switch. can i use the 4 pill switch like a standby . power switch on- 4 pill switch off till i use the amp ????

Yup.....Steve sure makes a great product. Ive had mine for a while now. I don't use it that much but when I do, it definitely grabs some attention. I very seldom drive it to its max as I hit it with only about 20 watts . Even so it works just fine. Mine has only the on/off switch, no stand by mode. I am not sure what the other switch on yours is for.

The Motorola unit was used to drive low power side of my radio up until I got my 70A Astron.

Steve does build a great product and a super nice guy to deal with at that...Hey BUSMAN is that a straight 4 pill
or is it a 1x4 base the other swith could possibly be hi/lo for the driver just to run it then if you want to dropp the
big hammer flip to hi to activate the 4 pill

duck, its a straight 4 pill base. its got a ssb switch (no extra charge to forum members- thanks steve) and its got a main power switch on-off, and its got a 4 pill on and off switch to. mudduck said i could use it as a standby. he also upgraded the finales in it from 1446- to the 2879. its a work of art. im just running a stock uniden grant xl onit now. it still kick out 275 to 300 watts. im going to get me a rci 2980wx to use with it as sone as i get a day off and call ra. mudduck said 200 watts pep at the max. so im just gonna baby it with about 50 watt pep from the 2980wx. my neighbors aint gonna put up with no mo than that. :D
