I'm not exactly sure if you can go lower than that. Maybe someone here with more experience can answer that more definitively for you.

I know mine Dk's at 20 with the power knob all the way down (75 with it all the way up) but still swings to over 160 AM and over 180 SSB.

Here's the adjustment pots for it if you want to check it out--

I haven't messed with the power adjustments inside---I just adjusted the meter settings the other day to get them dialed in properly.

I generally run the power at straight up 12 o'clock on AM and full bore on SSB and it seems to work real well. That gives me 50 swinging 160+ on AM and bumping up on 200 SSB.

Skip's rolling now on 38LSB in fact...just made two solid contacts --one in Kansas City MO and one out in the cornfields of Indiana :)

My S meter was the same..real stingy--the modulation meter was off too (it read too low) so to correct them I turned the recieve meter (VR9) 1/4 turn counter clockwise and it seems right now and then I turned the mod meter (VR15) 1/4 turn and now it seems right according to my testing.

I'm running mine as a base and it's being fed with 14.2 volts off my power supply and seems to like it.
