Yes that's a FT-101EE (1 of 2 I have) and the X-Force will run off of 110v or 220v (8 x 2SC2879).

Yep, that 101 was and for many is a workhorse. I've had several and they do get the job done. They are getting harder to get repaired, but are nice, especially with all the accessories like the digital readout, fl2100, etc. That is a clean looking deal. I've always alternated between a busy shack scene and one with a main rig and amp like yours, nice indeed. -drdx

The rig and amp are one thing, It'd be a shame to see that hooked to a $50 base vertical.

I wan't to see the antenna before I'm impressed

It's on an old set of Hornet stack 4's right now @ 60'. For myself for Christmas I have 2 sets of Maco M106c's ordered to replace the 4's.

That amp is just one of many that I own and for DX I am usually running a Maco 300 driving a JB-2000 that I bought new in the 70's.

Happy Holidays :)

Love the old 101 series of rigs, the B E EX etc t etc..
but the 101ZD is the daddy, even though it don't have 11mtrs ??

funny how the early ones do 11mtrs, but the ZD with FM and WARC did'nt..

for the price you guys seem to pay for old valve 101 and others, we pay for newer HF sets..
like my collection..
TS-670 for $200
TS-680 for $200
my CB the TS-450SAT for $600
and my daddy rig TS-570DGE for $700..

i think we only pay $100 for lincolns, and the same for SS-3900's over here..

depending where we buy from the 101 series is anothing from $100 up to $400..
I want to die asleep like my grandad did,
Unlike his passengers, Screaming and shouting.!!
