hey moonshiner,my shacks in the closet to. took all the ol ladys crap out and made me a shack. nice radio by the way.

That little radio swings both ways. With a simple mod, that little radio can transmit on all the HF bands, VHF, UHF and 11 meters.

Hey Moonshiner, Did you do the transmit mod on the 857?

I have the 857D so I have to bridge the jumpers with solder. Not sure my soldering skills are up to the task.

Well that is a long story . it is a coily that will not match ! It has been tried by several and I can't get Dan to stand behind it so i went to a 10k. it looks massive shame it don't work!

wanna sell that monster? figured i was a coily because of the black delrin, 55 uses white delrin. dabble with antenna design and moddig a bi...might e a fun peice to play wit....jas
