That little radio swings both ways. With a simple mod, that little radio can transmit on all the HF bands, VHF, UHF and 11 meters.
Hey Moonshiner, Did you do the transmit mod on the 857?
I have the 857D so I have to bridge the jumpers with solder. Not sure my soldering skills are up to the task.
