Patriot 12ft base antenna

Post by BG »

Guys:

First of all, yes I know I ask a ton of questions! Sorry about that. But I have been out of CB'ing for 8 years now and I am working diligently to try to get a mobile setup and base setup going at the same time! whew! i been busy on this net researching products! LOL....anyway, my question is does anyone have any experience with the little 12ft patriot base antenna. it is cheap and small. i thought i might get one and wondered how it compares to the Antron 99. I always ran an A99 and I dont want perfomance much less than it. Anybody have any comments?

73's...Brandon

The local radio doctor sold them for a bit. They worked like crap. He gave foks their money back for them and sold them A99s.

I would just go with good coax and the 99, and know I had a good system. 8)

Glad to be able to help ya! 8)

The only one he sold that was a satisfied customer was a trucking company, it worked good for them but he ended up buying the rest of them back.

Cant go wrong with an A99 and good coax.

Yeah, they aren't going to perform as good as an A99, but when you have a tight spot, like some do they may be one of the few options available.

This arguement has come and gone forever. Do you buy an Antron 99 o IMAX 2000. I would get he IMAX over the Antron

There's no way I'd buy that patriot 12 ft antenna.

Save your money and buy the A99, or like everyone else has said, but the Imax 2k.

The taller the antenna, the better the performance.

Do it right the first time and save yourself money down the road.
