 between the bright blue lights and that shiny chrome that thing is tuff on the old eyeballs. I love it tho. cant wait for the antenna and all so I can key up that stuff. I need to take a trip to GA and get my ole Pace 8155 base, Henry Tempo one, a few small tube linears, and other tube radios. then the shack will feel like home again lol.

Hmmmmmmmm, what is that old wooden radio that you have there. That sparks my curiosity. It looks like a transmitter of some type. I collect old radios myself, although not transmitters. Mainly Victrolas and Edisons.......

that is an old "Carrier Call" intercom unit. it has 1 tube inside it that looks like a light bulb. I bought that off of ebay for 5 bucks. only reason I got it is it looks cool on the desk. it is complete all the way down to the cord that plugs in the wall but I am scared to plug it up, afraid it will catch fire. its mainly just a convo piece for the shack. seems to be workin so far lol. I like old radio's myself and if I could afford to I would collect them. I just get what I can from time to time to stick on the shelf.

You'd be surprised. That Victrola in the picture above only set me back $100. Gotta find them at auction............
