Hey Guys,

I was just on eBay and I saw an ad for a working Cobra 2000 GTL with Cobra Desk Mic, extra channels added, and one of the external speakers with a buy it now price of 179.99. Is this a good deal? I jumped on it, because I sold my 2000 earlier in '07 and I regretted it...Just wanted to get some feeeeedback, thanks..

thats a good deal I usually see the 2000's go for close to 400-500 bucks on ebay

I just bought a clean cobra 2000GTL on ebay for $69.00 all that is wrong is a couple controls needed cleaning. I didn't get a speaker with it though.

The ultimate was what I paid for my original 2000, which I got in 1994 for 55.00, and that INCLUDED the speaker! I bought it from a CB elmer who was up there in age and he knew I needed an extra SSB rig. A few months later he wanted me to sell it back to him so he could use it for jamming purposes and I told him to pound sand. I had it for 13 years, selling it to a ham in August of 2007 for 125$. Although I can't find the speaker, I'm pretty sure it's in my attic, getting old up there...

Jester, I say you did good. I got a bud selling one right now for $200 without the speaker and another guy I know selling one for $300 without the speaker.
