audio meter , easy project.

im sure someone has one, but ive never seen a station with one. its an audio meter. actually a vu meter that works on speaker voltage.kinda like the meters on a tape deck that show sound level. its much different than the signal meter, much more sensitive and closely follows the swing of each word, wheras the signal meter just kinda waves. it wont show a dead key, but someone that you can hear and isnt moving your signal needle still moves the audiometer. its easy to make one, i made my first way back from my old radio shack swr meter. ill include a photo in the next post. or you can use the meter out of an old cb, or tape deck, swr/power meter. i found another cool one at the flea mkt today for old stereo equipment, and they look very nice i figured id show them off and pass on the info. if the needle swings backwards, just reverse the direction of the diode. 2zero9
