When was this? I didn't hear any skip in the Buckeye today, let alone the last 3 weeks!

Nice watergate 220. What are you recording with? I really like how the audio sounded...very authentic. I didn't recognize that buckeye radio's numbers 113, untill I listened to it again. I used to talk local radio out here alot with 113. He mentioned his handle in your watergate, and I was pysched to hear him in there. We all know him aas Big Mounth around here. I hope I catch him on the radio to let him know he made the "big time" haha.

To be honest, I can't remember when I recorded these, or a couple more [Please login or register to view this link]. I found this tape while cleaning out my (radio) closet and thought I'd post a couple since some of the new members were asking what skip was and what it sounded like...

The tape recorder is an old Rat Shack Micro-51 (that's what I found the tape in) micro cassette. If I remember correctly I used an 1/8" plug patch cable from the AUX jack of the 2000gtl to the MIC jack on the recorder.

LOL...yep - "they call me Big Mouth"...

Hopefully with the sun spots on the rise we'll get better conditions soon. I still have the 2000gtl and the Palomar 300a, but I've added a few more "goodies" to the shack since then so I'm just waitin' on Mother Nature...
