Roughneck Tough Antenna Riser & 05 Chevy Install Photo

#118774

Post by Roughneck424 »

Here's a photo of my "Roughneck" Tough Antenna Riser that I use to support a 102" or my 27"Pred. 10K and the radio in the truck. The flash is to bright and washed out the Blackberry on the CBRT Web page.

The Red Box Gizmo is an Quad Air Meter, it measures Oxygen levels,H2s Gas , LEL's . I f you watch the Oxygen meter as you go up in elevation you know where to stop on the side of the hill where the Mud Ducks are at their weakest state of Quacking and they are very easy to squash!!!

Really I think I went up to far and lost a few brains cells to believe that :?

I really use the meter at work to check to make sure welders won't blow them selves up and bad air in the oilfields, it was laying on the seat so I placed it in there for the photo

Very nice! I like it, I kind of had the same thought with the 102" in the Predator stud too if I can't get my new Predator antenna experiment to work out. I was going to ask what the red gizmo box was too but I see that's already been answered. I kind of had to read it twice after seeing the whole thing about measuring oxygen and pulling over to the side of the hill and the mud ducks being at the weakest quacking point. LOL

I'd get rid of the crimped on coax connector if I were you....

Make sure you have a braided ground strap going from the tool box to the cab of the truck......

I think he is talking about the cable on the left side of the GX 94. I does look like something hit the connector and bent it.

Looks sweet. How you got that antenna mount/riser grounded?

The riser is grounded to the tool box thru the contact with the box and the bolts, tool box is grounded with flat braided grounding strap to the bed( being that the box is sitting on the plastic bedliner ),and then another jumper from the bed to the frame.
