New House...New Base Setup!

#154802

Post by BG »

Guys:

Well, here are some pics of my radio room / office at my new house. My Connex 3300 is connected to an Antron 99 about 35ft in the air outside the radio room. Now all I need is a 4-pill fatboy base to complete things. I included some pics of my new house and the property and such. Its not to brag, its just that I am an old East Texas country boy, so I am proud to be doing good for once! I travel on my job a ton...but I combined my office and radio room into one spot so that on the days when I am just at home in the office working I can be near my radio too! 8) You guys should see my tiny satellite dish and setup I had to do in order to get wireless internet into my office!

Later guys.....'Two-Step' down around Toledo Bend readin' the mail.....

BG,

Your home is absolutely perfect. I can't wait to show it to my wife when she gets home from work. I have been trying to get her convinced to move to East Texas when we retire for good. We had a home of similar style (but yours is more nicely done) that was built back in 1937. We sold it about 6 years ago in order to move close to her work. I am fed up with being 'in town'. The D/FW Metroplex is one big heap of congestion. I need space again. Maybe your pics will be what I need to win her over. Did you have the house built or was it existing?

Looking at the yard, I thought "Where is the red dirt"? Looking at the Grizzly, I said "There it is"! Good choice in Quads too.

Lastly, thanks for sharing the photos. I use a 510XL a lot and am glad to see someone else using one.

The house was built by a man out of Plano who was moving down to retire but then I think his wife backed out and didnt want to move to the country. He had the home custom built. The lady who was his interior designer is doing some remodeling work for Jerry Jones of the Dallas Cowboys. anyway, he decided to sell a couple months ago. we saw it and once we toured it, my wife fell in love with it! we absolutely LOVE it out here....the kids run and play and i ride my atv and watch the cows grazing in the distance. we have a huge back deck where you can sit with your ice tea and the breeze blows on you...will be awesome this summer! get her to East Texas...she will love it.

Great looking house BG! I especially like the front porch. But I have one question about the picture. Somethings missing. Is this one of those hide it- find it pictures, or did I miss something? Where's the base antenna?? I know you said it's next to the radio room, but I don't see it in the picture?

Nice House. Nice 4 Wheeler. Nice Radio.

My only advice is to swap the diet coke out for a Diet Mtn Dew.

Guaranteed to produce 10 more watts on transmit. :)

Nice setup man. Good looking house radio and quad. I will be up in the Livingston/Woodville area tomorrow, but I live down in Houston. I really need to get my setup going for my F250. I really miss my ol' CB. My lil bro has it now in my old truck. Time for a big bad system for my big bad 4x4.
