I just got mine from ******* yesterday, it has a couple issues. The power supply has been updated from the older radios to a switching type with a built in fan that speeds up during key down. On SSb it will literly kick out (power off) if I let it peak to max wattage that it is set to, i'm assuming it has a automatic circuit breaker in it because the radio comes right back on when i stop modulating. My tone control doesn't seem to do anything and I have already seen leds intermittenly going out and coming back on in the frequency display. I was able to turn my mic gain down so the wattage didn't peak as high to stop the power supply from kicking out but a friend said he was not impressed with the sideband audio quality at all, I Over all i'm not very impressed.

If it doesn't glow in the dark, its not a real radio!

I have found a couple more issues with this radio, its only 1 day old and the first time i plugged in a set
of head phones the head phone jack on the front of the radio fell apart on the inside and obviously doesn't work.
the top cover on rh side is pushed in and distorted
this is unacceptable and I need to send it back for a refund, $614 is way to much for a radio that is falling apart.
