Alright, I am very new to CB's. I have a Cobra 25 LTD night watch which is supposedly tuned whatever that means, and a Wilson 1000 mag mount antenna. My question is how do you run power to the CB. It connects into the back of the CB but just has two bare wires at the other end. I am running it in my truck. Sorry for the really really Noob question
Thanks
With a cobra 25 you could go to the local truckstop /radio shop or even radio smack and get a adapter to run it in the cigarette lighter..running it to the battery is the best way though

I have had good luck with cigarette lighter power and a 15+ watt Cobra 25 but a voltage check at the radio connector does show a bit of a Voltage loss. That will reduce outgoing power just a little. Going to the battery means your radio is not starving for electron flow (juice). ~$40 or so can get some big cables (#6 welding leads) with quick disconnects, and 100 amp fuse protection at the battery that will feed the Cobra like a waterfall, and you will be ready for the amp that you are about to get the fever for. Also, an Astatic D-104 M6 mic adds life to the Cobra 25.
yep, the negitivly charged positrons passing through the matrix of the web of quantium energy to complete the circuit to the positivly charged negitrons on the other side
Yep...I run mine directly to the battery as well. Different rigs have different known (and unknown) noise problems. As a rule of thumb though, the battery tends to be the cleanest source of power.
And yea...welcome to the forum! Lots of good experience and knowledge here!
Well i'm no ALBERT EIENSTIEN as you can tell with my spelling! But you run the black wire to ground and the red wire to positive.Preferably to the battery post! You need a fuse between the positive from the battery to the radio though! :Peace!:
sorry man
was just being a smary a@@
just hook the red wire to the postive on your battery
and hook your black wire to a bolt inside your car.
jon.
or to the negitive on the battery
