I see no ingenuity attempt when he put it together. He should’ve at least screw on a bottle opener on the side or duct tape a compass over the top with a pull out cup holder in the front.
But if he really want fetch top dollar, all he has to is put a Dale Earnhardt picture over the front bezel, then it will sell for sure.

Now, in a wacky way, I do admire his craftiness, but it sounds to me like he destroyed a perfectly fine cobra to make this frankanstein. This would be a fun project if he had done this with a very cool looking base, like a DAK or something that was trashed but looked great, but that? Each to his own. It looks like he basically hollowed out an old SBE Console V and put a 148 inside. Why he did this, I dont know.

The SBE is an awesome radio, he should have put some work into it. I'd take the SBE's receive over a Cobra's Modulation anyday!
