Is that some weird Canadian law that the shops can't sell the stuff you need to make your radio work?

Maybe not just Canada. Radio Shack has become a toy store, no real useful electronics anymore. All the local RS that I know have been converted and you cant even find basic cables, audio or otherwise. And I was at a truck stop at lunch in Jackson GA that had no cables, no mic's, 4 radios, 2 antennas. Funny, I expected more.
