noise

Anybody else ever have trouble with noise from a cordless mouse? This noise has been drivin' me bananas for a while now. First thought it was the internet coming in through the phone line. Filters, re-routeing coax, etc. Finally forgot the radio on downstairs and came up to see what you guys are up to, and lo and behold, every time I moved the mouse it came over the radio as a buzz!!
What do these mouses broadcast at? Only seems to affect about channels 14-22 on the cb.
Anyways, the mouse is now homeless and replaced by an old corded one.

Yup, it will do it. I have a microsoft wireless desktop elite keyboard and mouse and my radio picks up key strokes and mouse movement. I moved my keyboard reciever away from the radio and the noise went down. I could move it further but I like where everything is posistioned so I wont.

It's a logitech mouse and key board. Got curious about the interference and had the wife use the mouse. Went outside to the mobile and it was there as well, only not near as bad. Probably a 100 ft circle around the house!!

WOW ! Logitec must have some broadcast area. My keyboard is good for about 6' and moving my reciever unit only inches makes a difference.

You might be better off using a "bluetooth" wireless keyboard and mouse... I am not sure what frequency the older RF wireless and bluetooth wireless operate on but that should make a huge difference because I know bluetooth operates on ALOT higher frequency...

I dont know if it uses bluetooth or not on mine. It's only 6 months old. I can say however that my Palm Tungsten, my cell and my bluetooth Jabra headset dont affect it.

Yeah, I'm thinking something else is in order. The mouse didn't work more than 4 ft away from the receiver, but it sure thru out a lot of noise. Does the blue tooth set up need anything else done to the computer or is it stand alone? ( the reason I ask is because I had a little trouble with a palm m 515 handheld device and looked into infra red to sync it up, but didn't really get too far before I got frustrated and tossed it out the window of my pick-up!!)

Yup, I think I'll go looking around. Didn't even think to ask about interference ( who'd a thought ). I'll bet the folks at the electronics stores won't know a thing about it!!
