And based on what I heard, You would need to upgrade your antenna. Wilson 1000 = 1000 watts handeling of surge but really about 500 watts. If that amp puts out close to 1500 watts, Something will fry!
i do not think it would handle that much power.
you would melt the coax.
if you are going to run that kind of power
get a 10k or mr.coily.or a bozo made antenna lol
jon
yea i agree i think bozo and a few other people on this forum fried a 1000 with around 1200-1500 watts talk to them about me personally ive never used a 1000 so i wouldnt know
i had one for awhile until
i put 1800 watts in it i welded it to the roof
from the heat. and melted the plastic load.
i still have it here.in the corner it is a good hat hanger

I ran a Wilson 1000 with a 1600 for a long time no problem. The funny thing is nobody really mentioned the 1600 doesnt do 1600 watts. They do about 1150. A wilson 1000 handles this with ease.
High SWR does damage in a hurry! I ran a wilson 1000 while I lived in SC with a Sweet 16. Never had a lick of problems. If you've got high swrs, things get ugly fast!
