Magnum 257?

Anybody use one? Got any pros or cons?

That is what I was looking for. They have been scarce lately. I ended up with a Titan RSPY 485 off of Ebay. Everything that I have read says that they are good little radios. I think that the 257 has a little more juice than the clones, but they are small, powerful for the size, and from what I have been told will reach out pretty good.

I'm in the process of trimming out a cubby in my 03 Silverado to put my 485 in. It's gonna be a seamless install when it's done.

Thanks...I've heard good things too. The one I was looking at was scooped up, so I'll keep my eyes open for another one.

Will do.
I have an HTX-10 that I'm using for fitting purposes, before the 485 arrives. It's a 10-meter only version of the same radio. It looks like a factory install. I'll snap a few of it tonight, and post the 485 pics when I get it all buttoned up.

Great rig. Small and powerful with lots of audio. SSB is right up there with the Lincoln in my opinion.
