cobra 29 final

Ive run the same Cobra 29 for 11 years in a Peterbilt and never had a problem with it. I am getting a new truck and decided to get a new cobra 29. Anyhow, I also have a 29 a friend gave that will receive but wont transmit. Ive always wanted to try to work on radios. Is putting in a new final going to be hard for an amateur to do?

If you can solder you can do it, you need some heat paste, sometimes the final screw is glued a little, but easy to do, attached is a pic that shows you where the final is
