Question

Does anybody remember those 12 v powered light boxes you could get for the back window of your truck or car. They were programable and you could display the channel or channels that you were monitoring?
I really want one of those for some reason or another!

Dang, I do remember those, you could have um scroll and all kinds of things. I havent seen those in years. Radio shack had um 20-25 years ago.

Yup, that's about the time I saw them. Haven't seen one for a loooong time tho.

Maybe shop ebay to see if anyone found one in the closet.

someone makes things like that cuz I have seen um in businesses, probibly working on 110v AC.

I have seen them on ebay on more than one occasion, I dont know if they are good quality or not that would be cool tho.

Yup, I think it'd be great for making more contacts. Not very many people besides truckers on the radio around here anymore. Not like the old days. Probably a better chance of somebody keyin' up if you let them know your on the air.

Saw something on ebay...it's a scrolling programable name tag. But it don't look big enough. Got no ebay account so I can't ask the guy for dimensions. Anybody else that can?

I wonder if he has a line on something a little bigger? Maybe 5" X 8" or something like that.
