Depending on how bad or quickly you need/want it, I'd search around for the best deal

If you live close to a major chain truck stop, IE; T/A, Pilot, Loves, Petro, there usually have them on sell for a better price. Then you can take it to a tech and have tuned. But what I would suggest is call Al at Sparky's CB Shack and see what he could do for you. He includes tuning as a part of the sells price and is a great guys to talk to.

If you have your heart set on the 29NW, and there's a Fry's Electronics near you, you can get it for $129. Sponsor G.I. Joe's has the same radio for $104.95 [Please login or register to view this link]

I'd suggest Sparky's as well, he'll perform his magic and get it out to you quickly. You'll come out cheaper than buying the radio and paying someone to work on it and Al's work is top notch.

I'd just order your radio online.

People keep saying Sparky Sparky Sparky because he does a little mod work on the 29s.
He can turn those radios into beasts.

Either way, I can guarantee you that you'll find your best deal buying from one of those CBRT sponsors
and may even land a discount or something of the like.

Somewhere else you can take a look at if you want to test the water is over on CraigsList.

The Atlanta section always has someone selling their Cobra 29. Pretty good prices when they are just trying to clean out the garage. I've picked up more than one radio that way.

Pick one up for dirt... if you wanna stick with it for a while shoot it over to a sponsor for some 'upgrades'.

Sparky revitalized my that I've had since I started driving cross-country back in the early 90's.

If your looking into used ones I'd look for an old 29 xlr (with the cool dimmer KNOB) or gtl older radios have better components. I have also heard bad thigs about the nightwatch/ backlit models being prone to extra noise.
