Are there any problems with mounting my magnetic mount CB antenna on the roof? Its a hustler brand mount, im just wondering if it will blow off while im driving down the highway or something.. Has anyone here mounted their antenna anywhere else? i was thinking about on the back corner of the hood, but it will hit the windshield.. then i was thinking about putting it in the bed, but i got a tonneau cover on the bed so that wont work..
I had my wilson mag mount on the the top of my F-150 for a while until I put it on the tool box. I never had a problem and that includes interstate driving . They are made with that in mind.
I agree. I know some people with the hustler mag mount and they don't have any problems (with it blowing off that is).
My Wilson 5000 hasn't moved at all even when it hits low hanging tree branches. It is kinda hard to take off too.
Ok, thanks... Another question for you guys.. How do you have your CB connected, like is it connected to the fuse box or to something else.. i have heard of some people connecting it to the cig lighter, but how do you do that???? Thank you, matt

Go to wall mart and look in the automotive section. They have an amp hookup kit for 19.95 + tax that even includes heavy duty fuse and holder. Run power from your battery and with that kit hook up the ground to a steering column bolt. Your radio wont draw much power and this may be a little over kill but it will give you a trouble free hook up and room to upgrade later.
