Power mic ?

I was told that I cant run a power mic on my cobra 25 because I have talkback installed on it and it would sound real distorted . Anyone ever had problems like this ?

The purpose of talkback is to set your echo,reverb,robot, etc. once those are set just turn off the talkback.

The purpose of a power mic is to allow you to have the mic away from your face when talking but still have the same imput to the radio.

Some people experiance a "Squeel" or feedback when using a power mic with the talkback on. You souldnt have any problems using a power mic on your radio, just turn the talkback off.

Problem is is my talkback is varible , hooked up to my dynamic , so when I turrn it down I lose all audio . Mybe a noise cancelling mic would suite me better

No on the road devil and yes, run the 636L. I have found on my radio ( by trial and error ! ) that I have to have my Silver Eagle almost all the way off to work with me radio and not have problems.

ok I just bought a road king off of ebay , I will give you guys a report when i test it ,and let you know how it does.

a road king mic is what i used on my cobra 29 and i had talkback and it didnt squeel at all it sounded real good. my uncle has a 25 with a road king mic and that radio sounds good also.never have tried the 636 but i am planning on getting one sometime soon for my general lee
