Accessories for PC68XL

Okay guys, I got my Uniden PC68XL, a Wilson 1000 trunk lip antenna and now I need a mic. To me, a noob, a mic is a mic. I have the one that came with my radio, but apparently it isn't the best!! I've seen about 50 different mics offered locally and I have no idea what they all do. Some take batteries, some don't, some are noise canceling, some are power mics.....wow!! There are too many to choose from. A few questions:

1) What is a power mic and what will it do for me?

2) What is a noise canceling mic and what will it do for me?

3) What all should I look for for in a mic?

I just asked these same ? not to long ago so let me try and answer ya
A power mic amplifies your voice so you dont have to hold the mic as close . A noise canceling mic takes away some of the backround noise and makes you sound clearer. I hope I got it right :Joker_PDT_07:

Noise canceling mic's help with a noisy vehicle. My truck has wind noise from the ladders and exhaust from the flowmasters. If I used a power mic, no one would hear me from the extra noise generated.

Good noise canceling mic's would be the Road King 56 and the Astatic 636L

Both good. personal choice.
