Whew... man I feel a lot better now.. I got good signal and confirmed radio check from about 3 miles out tonight, and on the I-85 and I-77 corridors to boot..
I Know I Know... 3 miles is no big deal, but damn it sure feels nice to at least know my radio is working.... had a few days/nights of NO decent understandable traffic and FINALLY I know this old cobra has a little life left in it still!

I know how you feal. I just hooked up my old radio in my truck for grins and giggles. I had one of my boys on the base and I drove about 3 miles out to test. Then had one drive it out while I stayed at the base to see how it did. That radio never did very well on TX. but I just adjusted the modulation and now it does.
