key up "Ping"
Open up the eye of the hook so the lower D104 head screw fits through it (key bar side). Then bend the fish hook around so the key bar just touches it. Every time you key up, there will be a ping. Sometimes a ding, sometimes a clunk. It's all in the fish hook believe it or not!
We used to do that years ago, and I'd end up going through a complete package of hooks to get the sound I wanted. Kinda' fun, too. Sometimes (depending on the hook you use) heating it up with a torch will improve the sound and/or destroy the sound. We messed around all the time with that. Buddy of mine had one that sounded SOOO sweet. Just a mild ping that went on for about 2 seconds.
:Peace!:
