Looking for info on 01 F150 & 02 Tahoe

Hi fellow cb'ers! I'm looking forward to any suggestions at 2 installs I have coming up. First is my wifes 2001 F150 Ext cab 2wd 4.6, if it works we found a AVX by Audiovox MCB-40 to mount somewhere, power will go to the battery, and if she goes for it a 108" SS whip on a quad mag mount. If not she'll have to use the 16" rubber hf magnetic mount.
I have a 2002 TaHOE that i want install a Uniden510 Pro XL ( it was free ) for now upgrade later and I would also like to mount a quad mag mount with a 108" SS WHip MFJ 1966 or if I can't get locally then I'll get the 102" with a 6" extension or is the spring better to have instead? Also how far behind the sunroof on the TaHOE should I go for optimum TX/DX.
Has I get more time I would also like to shield coil wires, connect groundings to body frame engine etc for a good ground plane.
Thanks Chuck :D

There is a good ford trucks forum that has a section for 97-03 trucks. If you search that one you will find several threads that discuss the possible locations and such for your setup. The info here is much better for maximizing your setup, but the pics and ideas for moounting are good. I can't give you the address cause I don't have enough posts yet. PM me if you want it. :P
