MAJOR HARD DRIVE CRASH!

#20778

Post by BobOstro61 »

Ugggghh.... I clicked the START button and my computer completely STOPPED! Never to reboot again. Ran out and got a nice new 250GB drive. I just finished installing my 5,000,000 progams. My eyeballs are ready to pop out after watching so many progress bars!

Did you have back ups for all your files?
I went through this about 6 months ago and had no back ups. That was not good.

That stinks. :'(
I hate when I have to reinstall XP and everything that goes with it as well.
You don't realize how much stuff you have until it all goes away and you have to bring it back.

Luckily yes, I did have backups. I even had the forethought a while back to back up my outlook address book, personal folders, calendar, etc. I'm usually pretty good about backing up my stuff. I've learned this from working in the IT dept. and seeing how other people have lost everything from not backing up.

It just took a while getting everything back to normal and setting up the remote connections to work, installing all my application development software etc. Long afternoon!
