Just finished a mod on my radio and since it hasnt blown up yet I feel good knowing that I haven't screwed things up. And boy does that needle SWING. Plan on getting some radio checks tomorrow to see how my updated radio is driving the amp and how I sound.
WHAT MOD DID YOU DO TO THAT UNIDEN? I SEE YOU HAVE AN EAST COAST 2 PILL! HOW MANY WATTS ARE YOU SUPPOSE TO GET FROM THAT AMP? GOOD LUCK WITH THE RADIO CHECK HOPE EVERYTHING WORK OUT FOR YOU!!
STICKMAN
What I did was lower my deadkey to around 1 watt allowing the radio to swing; by removing a jumper by the final and on the top inserting an electrolytic capacitator on top and on the solder side combining it with a 150 ohm resistor. Lucky for me my amp takes a 1-6 watt input so I am good there. Pretty easy overall.
Tested my radio today and much to my relief my deadkey is low enough to make the radio swing but not too low so that it wont drive the amp. I was worried that it would be too low and would have to undo the mod.
