Cabra base that is same as the 29?

Cobra 1000 GTL. Just make sure the power supply within the radio can handle the extra watts.

The 1000 is a 29 in a box. If the current draw
gets too heavy, you can always power it with
an external supply. Kinda defeats the purpose,
but can be done.

If I could down a power supply and fit it inside I would be happy. I want a old Cobra base to do what my 29 does. Just like the thought of it!

cobra 89 gtl is like a 29 also.

Ok I have a 89 gtl I could do the same mods to it? Also I have a cam 89 which is the same as the gtl only it is a 23 channel radio can it be modded like a 29
