Astatic 600 settings
On my base the Astatic 600 manual says that when checking the SWR you rotate the setting knob till its in the set position. Is that as soon as its in the red or all the way to the right (needle pegged)?

Yes set knob to FWD then key radio adjust other knob til needle reaches Set. Put knob back to REF key up see SWR reading. Same goes with Modulation on other side.
