Anybody have any thoughts about this Radio? Al at Sparky's was pushing this thing to me pretty hard yesterday. Says they're better that the Lee. Both on sale right now there, just want some more feedback before I buy. What kinda of dead key should I request? Running a Fatboy 300 (2 Pill) now. Looking to drive something else with it or selling it and upgrading. Appreciate all this awesome info.

They aren't making them anymore so all our vendors dropped the wholesale price down to $110.00. We bought and sold our quota in two weeks. These are nice radios the same as the Stryker's board on the inside. Only one thing our customers didn't like but could live with is the squelch and RF gain knob is the same. Some ducks like to control them seperately. But you should enjoy the radio.

The General Lee is made by Ranger or RCI and it is the same board on the inside as a Connex High Power. Two different companys two different radios. The radios with the bubble meters are made by RF Limited. It's like being a Ford or Chevy man. Both are good quality radios. When we say "virgin" that means the radio will never be touched and dropped shipped from manufacturer. "Loaded" means, you know. The prices on our site are the regular price. We may get some more and put them back on special again before they run out.

Call me silly..but I bought one of them awhile back and put in on the closet shelf, where it still sets. Over the years, I've passed on a few radio deals that I later regretted in hindsight. I believed the NS 650 BFM on sale had that same potential.

I DO run down the road with an also 'Sparkified' NEW NS 450 BFM which replaced a Galaxy DX 45MP. Have had numerous 3600 and 6900 series chassis radios in the past and NONE of them had the audio of this radio with the gain and power @ 50%.

Having tired of radios with high/low band switching and side mount mic jack, these two radios fit the bill for me.

It's interesting to me when people point out the combined squelch & RF gain control along with the location of the on/off switch as shortcomings of this radio. In my work truck enviroment, both of these features were an added plus. I guess it's all just a matter of perspective.

Had the DX 45MP going on 6 years in a work truck and it had been at the top of my best, but it never had the AUDIO that this one does, sold it to a coworker... but not to worry as I've also got a NEW one on the closet shelf

I run Magnum S6 in my truck because I too just like the way the radio is layed out. I is a talker for sure. I was alittle worried about it at first due to not allot of great feedback but it's been a dang good radio!
