where can i get ground straps?
i'm getting about 3 pounds of noise from my car when it's running, almost positive it's the fuel pump. i narrowed it down with some tests, and the noise is being picked up by only the antenna. i drive a 96 buick regal.
i'm assuming trying to ground everything would be the best start, or should i go with wrapping the fuel pump wires in chokes first?
and where can i find ground straps? radio hut?

You could check with your local parts store. Some of the sponsors carry it but just don't advertise them. Wrapping the power lead of the fuel pump with a RF choke should help. Ground the tail pipe and all body panels. Is can be a little time consuming but will make world of difference.

I found that the local auto parts store sells one for around four bucks, so I went to a Ham Radio Outlet store and bought the strapping by the foot for .60 per, then soldered on the connectors. If you need a bunch this is the way to go.
