is this a good deal?

i found someone local who wants to get rid of a cobra 139 with usb/lsb and it's peaked and tuned for $20. would i want this radio for a base station if i plan to hook it up to a mf240?

hay, listen, i have one of them. i had a little work done to it back in the day, x-tra channels up and down tuned it up a little, i talked in it for 15 years with no probs at all!!! i still have it and i will never get rid of it!! it has been real good to me and it would talk real nice, its not the best radio out there but it will do the job i promiss you.. any questions get ahold of me.. so yes 20 bucks is a real great deal, even if you have to put a few bucks into it...

For $20 buy it. Good radio. Not worth like $100, but definitely $20.
