Grounding

Ok, I got a Cobra 29LTD hooked up to a Pyle 10a power supply and an 18' Bandit antenna mounted to a 1 1/4' conduit.

The conduit/antenna is mounted to my shed with galvanized 1 1/4 two hole straps.

My question is, does this need to be grounded in any way? If so, I need some suggestions.

even thou i use a metal pole to mount my A-99. I still ran a ground wire. I wedged it between the base of the antenna and the pole. Connected it to an earth ground.

Ground everything for best performance.

You should ground it...but the ONLY thing it will do for you is provide some lightning protection and static bleed off. It won't do anything to make performance any better.
