I saw that the Galaxy DX2547 base radio has a automatic SWR circuit that calibrates itself ... what does this mean? Just plug it in, flip the switch and it takes care of it? LOL.

It means you don't have to calibrate the meter first...it calibrates itself so you can go straight to checking the SWR.
