swr s and moving antenna
I have an 04 grand cherokee, running a wilson 5k mag. saving money for a SWP general lee. my job takes me into parking garages and other low clearance areas requiring me to remove my antenna for a little bit. once i set my swr's does the moving it like that change them enough to be concerned about.

I run a Wilson 1000 mag & have to do the same thing at times, and I haven't had a problem with it. I have done it both ways, unscrewing the coil & the removing the entire thing to wash the truck & all. It shouldn't change the SWRs as long as you put it in the same position as was when SWRs checked good. Moving it to a different location could change it.

FIRST OFF LET ME SAY WELCOME TO THE FORUM!!! I RUN A WILSON 1000 ON MY 05 DAKOTA AND I MOVE MINE TO RUN THROUGH THE CAR WASH ALSO GOING INTO A GARAGE AND I HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH MY SWR'S. JUST LIFT THE MAG MOUNT AND LAY IT IN THE BED OF THE TRUCK AND THEN WHEN I AM DONE PUT IT BACK ON TOP. YOU SHOULD BE FINE!!!
