K40 RG8X coax with the removable connector ??

Thinking of using this K40 RG8X Coax with the removable connector , to replace the coax in a 06 freightliner columbia .

Are these ok , or would it be better to have a connector soldered on .

This is a co. truck that I drive everyday , but it would be nice be able to remove if I need.

Radio is a 29 classic , Sparky Radio , with a Wilson 2000 .

Thanks!

**I have no experience with those 'screw on' connectors so take this for what it's worth.
If you don't have the means to solder on a connector, and you have to run the cable, or 'un-run' that cable, then those things might be worth having. To the best of my knowledge, I've never seen a removable RF/coaxial connector that was very good. Literally, never seen one. It seems like an unnecessary complication or point of failure. If it suits your intended use, then why not. But if there's no particular reason for it, why bother?

I had my K40 for over 2 years and never had a problem with that connector.\
Makes it easier to run the cable.
