I'm new so don't jump for this dumb question. I keep hearing about dipole, can someone explain that?

That some good info there Night Crawler. Simplist way i can explain a dipole is. 1/2 wave length cut in half. Hot up, ground down. 17'2'' on length for 27.205 megs. Zero swrs.
