Wiring install question...

#245808

Post by rodeojunkie »

OK...does anybody actually use the power cord that comes with the bigger radios? I am installing a Galaxy 48T in a 94 Chevy truck and i was curious if the stock power wire would be big enough. I'm not sure i can wait til tuesday to get the wire somewhere...i live in a small town and pretty much everything is closed until tuesday. Also, will the 15 amp fuses in the stock power wire be enough to handle this radio?
Also, would spare coax be good enough to make the wires out of?

Thanks guys, Jeff.

If it is a stock radio, I would think stock wires would handle it. If that fuse is the one that came with it, then it should be OK.

The radio has been "sparkified" so that is why i was asking about the stock power wire. I don't wanna install it and damage it. Also, i bought the radio used so i am not totally sure if the fuses are the original ones or not.

Call Sparky's and ask them.
