another robyn 240 question
Sorry to fill the board with my questions and I promise to slow it down. Is it typical of the robyn when you turn it off that the tubes stay on. If so is there away of getting around that besides unplugging it.
Not real crazy of having all that heat stay in there 24/7. I know its probablly easier on the tubes to stay lite but I dont use the radio enough to justfy it running all the time. Just a curious question if thats a typical
issue with it

The filament voltage is left on to the heaters of the tubes with the plate voltage being turned off.
Rewire the switch on the back of the volume control to turn the voltage on and off to the primary of the power transformer or get an extension cord with a switch to turn it on and off.kritic wrote:If so is there away of getting around that besides unplugging it.

They designed that radio as the other guy said. The wanted to give you the instant on feature.I was never to crazy about it myself.I also have my gear plugged into a power strip anyway. But that would also be an idea.
