Motor Maul ??????

My understanding of motor maul is it is sorta like a a battery pack for your amp, when you key up it takes the power from your maul and does not put a load on your alt. ..when you unkey your alt will charge the battiery's in the maul back up.Most motor mauls have a few batteries in them .
The way the maul works is that it crosses the batteries over to come out as 24 volt and it runs into a voltage regulator which in turn you adjust to the volts you want ...most of the time it is 16 volts
I think you will still have to have a big alternator to run it right.
