D&A RDX-75 tubes

#254776

Post by nomad »

I have an old D&A RDX-75 that I bought a long time ago. It's a 20 meter CW amp about 75 watts or so. Been modded to transmit on the higher band. I am looking for a set of tubes for this amplifier. I gave the tubes away about 15 years ago and would like to get it running again. I believe they were 6jg6a's or 6kv6a's not sure. Have you ran across this small amp in your past? It uses 4 of them total. I know it's just a dirty little sweep tube am but I like it. What D&A amps do you like and use? If you have any for sale please reply. Thanks -Nomad.

I currently run a D&A Maverick 250 on my station, & it is great. I can see why you want to get it up and running again. Occasionally they have one of those on Ebay under Ham equipment. The tubes are available from a few different site online like thetubecenter.com, ABCvacuumtubes, AntiqueElectronics.

Nomad, I might have what you are looking for in the tubes. My father-in-law has a whole box of tubes that he has asked me to get rid of. I will look this weekend and let you know. He used to build his own amps and ham equiptment. No promises though but will let you know as soon as I see what is all in the box. I am pretty sure that I saw the tubes you are asking for.
