GI Joes Radio Electronics

Post by Pathfinder27 »

Hey all, I just bought another radio, a Galaxy 98vhp. They gave me lightning fast service not only over the phone, but got it set up and had it too me within a few days. I have installed it in my Big Truck, and it's set up really nice. Everything works great!!! My first radio check today was 20 miles, and I'm down in a valley talking to someone over the hills!! Thanks guys, I appriciate your professional service, I will buy again from you.

i know this is the positive feed back forum but don't call and ask them a legit question about why they want
$35 for shipping for an item thats 18$ from their competition they will be rude and hang up on u . i called back and told them it was a legit question only to be told to buy it from their competition and hung up on again . now thats poor buisness ethic if u ask me

I live near GI Joe's CB shack and I've personally been there several times to buy different things. He is a strange person, sortof humble in a way, but you can tell by the way he carries himself he has an attitude.

I know he's more of a mail order deal, but it seemed to me if you actually went inside his CB shop, which is a hacked up singlewide trailer behind a truck stop, he let on like he was doing you a favor to show you an item or a radio, and then if you didn't like it or wanted to see something else, he got kind of aggravated. So, if he dosen't want walk in customers, why does he have several different radios in display cases, and a big neon "open" sign in the window?

GI Joe may provide great mail order service, and I'm glad for everyone that he does, but frankly, I don't like visiting his shop. He even suggested to me one day that next time I just have it shipped to me, when I only live maybe 20 mins. away. That would be a waste of money. I'm yet to try him as a technician, as I usually do my own tune up's, but he seems to have a vast knowledge of electronics as I've seen his workbench in his shop.
