got it setup today no one is replying to my radio checks have asked for one quiet a few times today and there is alot of activity locally here. also on 19 im hearing 747 flight stuertist tell the passengers whats for dinner? LOL pork chops mash potatoes ect ect .........on freq: 27.186 ......what freq shuld it be on to chat local on 19? i'm a little dumb founded on exactly how to work this radio iv read the manual that came with it.....but it doesnt really say much its more of what NOT TO DO ect. iv been tinkering arround with it but i need a way to check to see if the mic is working? SWR is 1.0 when keyd up all across all 40 channels. :puke_l: :king:

Channel 19 is 27.185. The frequency display is just telling you the frequency that corresponds with the channel you're on. The channels range from 26.965 to 27.405 for the regular 40. You may be able to turn the clarifier and adjust it to frequency. I have the 949, same radio but w/o the freq. readout and I like it. It has a few useless features like talkback and roger beep, but other than that it is a good radio. I like the variable power and the general ease of use.
