Hi guys (and girls),
Since I got my Ranger 2995, I notice more noise when running my radio in my base. I made a test and there's noise too in my car (148 GTL) parked in my driveway.
I think it's just that the audio output of the 2995 is louder than the Cobra that I just notice that this week.
I'm out of the town and houses around mine are at 200 feet away.
I presume the noise is cause by some electric device because when 10h PM comes, this bad sound is gone.
It's boring because I can't heard weak signals when the noise appears.
I put the NL on, but it's not énough.
Is there a way to decrease this buzzz in the radio.
Thank's for help.

The best solution is tracking down the noise. If you are sure it's not in your own home (which often it is) then it's likely one of your neighbors. If it's something like a bad power strip, electrical light figure or connection, then letting them know that might in fact help them prevent a fire and help you out in the process. Being it has a time it goes out, your neighbors might recognize what it is by giving them that piece of info'. If they have a grow operation believe or not they'll quickly know the RFI is a way for them to get caught and probably do something about it. Of course if it's a plasma TV there isn't much that's going to help.
If you aren't willing to do that then probably about all you can do is install a noise phaser like a Timewave ANC-4 (MFJ makes one too). I run one and they can help with some noises, but some they won't touch. Like plasma TV's and some halogen grow lamps. They also can attenuate the signals so the lighter copy signals might not be heard with it. In my case although it attenuates some, it allows me to pull many of the signals out of the other noises I get hammered with here.
Good luck.

I think, but not sure, it comes from an A/C of my neighbour. Fortunately, autumn and winter is coming..
May be I'll try a noise phaser.
