lads how do they measure these keydown events.
we do not have these events here in ireland wish they did it looks cool.
jusr wondering how they measured the signal created by these people.

Irish, its rather easy. They usually have a person placed a short distance away (1/4 mile or so) with their radio on that channel listening. Both rigs key at the same time. The person who is heard over the other is declared the winner. They will usually record it to prove who came out on top. This recording is commonly called a "watergate", if a video is done, a "videogate". Hope that helps.

I've seen some post a station out about 20 to 40 miles away depending on the power of the contestants. Then they call it by who they hear on top of the other. Some record the Watergate or Videogate depending on the capabilities of the key boss. 73's from NW Louisiana.
