If it's metal try the 'trunk' lid.

If this is your car, I agree with Doc. On the trunk lid.

A big magnet mount antenna would be easiest as long as that trunk panel is metal. I suggest a wilson 1000 or 5000

I had a hard top once. had a three cylinder engine and standard transmission. I got great gas mileage. Put a ladder rack on the roof, an drove it all over the place doing service calls and installs for security systems. Worked remodels and home repair from it, too. Eventually gave it away to a couple of kids who were on their feet and trying to raise a young family.

Because I often had material on the top ladder rack, and there was no trunk on my hatchback model, I opted for a front fender mount at first. Eventually I went with a rear through-the-body fender mount. I always got out just fine.

Well, you know what to do. An upgrade to the Wilson 5000 if you want, and put it on the trunk right in the middle behind the seat.

My friend had one just like it (back when they were new), and he mounted a mag mount on the trunk lid and it worked great.
