wiring Question

#324042

Post by Night Eagle »

My new radio is scheduled for delivery today. My current radio has the power wire run to the battery. The ground wire is connected to a bolt under the dash and it has worked fine. Is that OK or should the ground also go to the battery?

If its a low power radio (less than 30w) than the frame ground is fine.

10-4 on that youll be fine with your setup just use a good auto-grade fuse at your battery and one at your radio. Fuses save radios. 73's

I went to Fuquay Varina high school. Most the locals around NC talk on 36lsb and 30am. The old timers get on 30am everyday around 8 in the morning and again around 11 every night. You normaly can key up and hit someone on 36lsb anytime of day.
